Seeing Is Believing?

Seeing isn't always believable when you are seen somewhere someone thinks you shouldn't be.  And this week we talk about it on our The 5by5 Podcast.  If you are grown and have no one to answer to but yourself, why should you or anyone care if they have seen you somewhere they think you should have not been.  Also, Can you really have a twitter war with someone if they do not respond to you? Lastly, I hate caskets and dead people.  I hate even more when they show up in photos on social media.  But, this new way to memorialize your deceased loved one has thrown me for a loop.  I mean I turned about seven cartwheels trying to get the images out of my head. What is it you say? What can make a fat boy do gymnastics? THEME FUNERALS!! Yes, a small but growing number of funeral homes are offering to display your loved one in a scene from their life. #SideEye.. Listen to all of the messy details on this week's "Didn't I See You?" episode of The 5by5 Podcast.

Milk, Bread or Eggs?

Today was a snow day of sorts... I mean we haven't seen this type of snow in years.  Even when I lived in GA, this area didn't get this much snow and ice.  I am over it. I actually had to dig out my car this morning.  Or better, I had to use my ice scraper as an ice pick. Ugh!  I thought Groundhog Day was on Sunday? What in the hell did he not see? LOL So that's part of today's episode.  We also are sending shout outs to Rosa Park in celebration of her birthday.  And Facebook turns 10 years old.

The Drive: Can I Get A Vacation?

Today on The Drive to work I talk about how impossible it is for me just to take a weekend off from work.
I know I am whining, but hell everyone needs a break.  During my chatter, I get stopped at a green light by someone who obviously ran out of gas.  So, excuse my outburst.. or road rage if you will.  LOL. But, I mean when you  got into your car you knew you were low on gas.  So, why wasn't your first stop to go to the gas station.  I mean, REALLY?
Thanks for listening!!

Fun With Hashtags #FatPeopleProblems

Today's Bonus Episode:  I thought I would have some fun with Hashtags.  Everyone loves to hate them, but I doubt they are going away anytime soon.  I am a chronic hashtagger and use some more than others.
Today I searched one of my favorites. #FatPeopleProblems I use this to refer to something I use for me REPEAT for me.. And not others.. I use it because I think it's healthy to make fun of yourself.  I live in reality and part of my reality is I am a fat boy. I embrace it.
Go get you a 2 piece and a biscuit and listen in!

Don't Facebook My Funeral

Well I have never witnessed it before in my Facebook timeline.  But, today was my lucky day, obviously. I am scrolling along seeing who were bragging, nagging and bitching on FB this morning.  Then all of a sudden I see a dead man lying in a coffin.  I knew it wasn't Halloween so I figured it was the real deal.  If anyone knows me, they know I do not like seeing dead people in caskets or funerals.  It's all very morbid and sad.  But, today one of my friends, who just lost his father, felt the need to share it with his Facebook friends. Self Included!  I was mortified and horrified all at the same time.  I have even seen websites dedicated to the funeral "selfie" how gross! But, I am not judging him (or them) but I think the dead especially a parent deserves a little more respect and privacy than having him laid up in a casket dead on Facebook.  That's a photographic memory that I don't want to save.  But, I am sure he had his reason. But, to all who is reading and listening, family and friends.  Do Not Facebook My Funeral.
Thanks!

Giving Is An Art!

Have you ever had that awkward moment receiving a Christmas Gift and you just didn't like it?  You are then at a loss for words.  Because,  the gift giver is looking right in your face expecting you to gush over how nice it is.  And all you want to do is slam it back in their face.  I mean how many personalized potato peelers does one need.  But, I suppose one should be thankful for being thought of at all.  I am honestly on the fence. I think someone should be more thoughtful when choosing. Maybe.

Tonight's episode is me on the fence.  How have you handled the dreaded bad gift?

Annoying Facebook Friends

While browsing the net the other day I ran across a funny article by Andrew Fischer called
and although it was a satirical piece the descriptions it gave for each type of Facebook friend was dead on.
This week on Real Talk With David and Nikki we chatted about a few on the list.  I freely admitted that I was a Spoiler Friend, an Epic Food Friend and obviously a Sports Friend (as Nikki pointed out) among others.  Which one are you? Do you have any of these types of friends on your friend's list. Check out the show below to find out which ones apply to you.  You may be surprised.

True Story Tuesday: Social Media Sarcasm

Listen to internet radio with DayVid on BlogTalkRadio

This week's True Story is about my run in, online, with crazy people.  Have you ever been harassed  by a nut job online? Well, I have.  I use a social media app called Getglue. Getglue is a television check in app.  With the app you check in to what you are watching and others can comment  on it.  Well, I commented on some one's review of Charmed.  It was wrong, so I wanted to point out where is was wrong.  She gets mad and sends me an email saying she will find me in Atlanta. Is it that serious?
Facebook app Bitstrip has gotten a lot of popularity lately. But, it's recent use of situations are not that funny.  I also chat about twitter warrior, Amanda Bynes. Ms. Bynes is now feuding with Perez Hilton and Lance Bass.  She's crazy.  Cheerios commercial stirs up the racist with their interracial cast (see below).
HPV may give you straight guys throat cancer. Just ask Michael Douglas.
