She Slays!

Yas!! She came to slay bitches.  She knows that she's "that bitch that cause all that conversation". And the conversation is fierce.  Beyonce is back with a new single and a new movement.  Whether you like her or nah, she is the Queen of her Beyhive.  Dropped one day before the Super Bowl, Beyonce's "Formation" song and video has captivated many - confused some and offended the haters.  The same haters she comes for with lyrics like: "You Haters Corny With That Illuminati Mess" "I Like My Baby's Hair, Baby Hair and Afro" and she even likes her Negro's (Jay -Z) Jackson Five's like nose.  It's and upbeat dance-able tune that gets you moving and revealing much more about Beyonce than we have ever seen before.  The video has come under attack for the imagery she uses (shot in New Orleans) to give her opinion on the state of Black America in 2016.  Even former NYC Mayor Guliani went on Fox to blast Beyonce on having that opinion.  #BoyBye  It's her "Run The World (Girls) for 2016 and I love it.  Check out the Superbowl battle with Bruno Mars below:

It's My Birthday!!

Yes, it was my birthday on August 25.  I am a few years over 40 now and I don't really feel the change in age... yet.  It was a pretty stressful day.  Sometimes family and holidays are just like families with holidays if you get my drift. But, it's good to make it another year.  I am at the age where friends and family alike are dying.  So, you just have to embrace each day with a fair amount of hope. So in tonight's episode I talk about Virgos, Celebs Who Share my Birthday and for fun Queen Bey and the VMA's & This year's Emmy's.

Tricked By The E Cigarette

Well, I received this in the mail today.  I was elated because I thought I was finally getting to use an e cigarette.  But, to my dismay it was only half of what I needed.  MarkTen is the company supplying the chargers and battery, but you have to purchase the actual cartridge.  Check out the latest podcast to find out what I ended up doing. Also, I spoke about how many gay scandals have been coming out of football lately.  We have an update on the Aaron Rodgers outing and the firing of Minnesota Vikings' punter Chris Kluwe for supporting gay rights.

And lastly, has Miley Cyrus finally fallen and hit her head by making some questionable remarks about Queen Bee, herself, Beyonce? I mean if Beyonce can shut the power down at the Super Bowl imagine she can do to your career.  Just ask Keyshia Cole and Kerri Hilson. LOL

Live @ Starbucks

One of my most favorite things I like to do is hang out with my niece and nephew.  They are like my children.  But, I am the cool Uncle that gets to spoil them before I take them home.  But, we went to Starbucks today to have some coffee.  My niece ordered a Venti and it was gone in 2.5 seconds. Then she starts complaining that she was hot.  *Side Eye* Nevertheless, it was a good day.  I even scored the Man Of Steel bluray for 13 bucks at Target. So all in and all a good day.  My nephew had a bit of an attitude when I wouldn't buy him a $20 box of Pokemon cards.  Here's the thing I purchased him a pack earlier today and if that wasn't good enough he will be strong!

A Christmas Party Snub

When your friend takes you off of their Christmas Party guest list because of an other's dislike of you.. What are you supposed to do? Podcast about it. That's what!  On our new 5by5 Late Night show we talk about our title, my fish boiling incident and an update to crazy Megyn Kelly's rebuttal on how the public received her No Black Santa rant!

Fox Host Says No To A Black Santa Claus

Although, I will give Megyn Kelly some room to say that St. Nicholas was white.  Even though he is an imaginary made up person.  I have to draw a line when she says Jesus was too.
All this came out a couple of days ago when the Kelly Files host shared her views on an article written by Aisha Harris.  Ms. Harris' article share HER views on how she processed all the images of Santa Claus when she was a little kid.  But, in Fox News form, Megyn Kelly had to add her uninformed 2 cents. Listen in to the latest edition of Real Talk as I discuss my personal view on the subject.  I also share a true story from a local Subway, Beyonce's newly dropped album and the ladies of SWV are going to give us life on their new WEtv reality show.

Bow Down to Mrs. Carter

Queen Bey wants you to
Bow Down

There is so much hype over this song.  A song that I don't even think is a true single.  Actually,I think it's funny.  Why can't Beyonce use the bravado that her male counter parts use in their music.  I actually think it is giving her just what she wants... EXPOSURE. And contrary to what everyone thinks.  It's working. I guess I am a little biased because I love Beyonce and her music.  Her last album "4" wasn't as commercially successful as the "Dangerously in Love", "B Day" or "I Am Sasha Fierce".  But, in my biased opinion it was brilliant.  I love it when Beyonce shows her boastful side. It's not like she hasn't done it before.  How can anyone forget "Diva".  Pretty much the same message wrapped in a funky r&b groove sans the word bitch.
It kills me how some females (Keyshia Cole) is taking this so literal.  The word bitch used in today's world no longer refers to women, specifically.  It refers to people who are lacking and whine about it.  Do you remember one of the most popular phrases from The Dave Chappelle Show. "I'm Rich Bitch!!", exclaimed the truck driver who just came into a lot of money.  Everyone thought that was funny, including females. Was he speaking to ladies all over the globe by calling them bitches? Absolutely not.  It just shows how we can be so petty and judgmental of others when their words or thinking do not line up with how we think they should act or talk. Give it a rest.  Beyonce is fine.  I can't wait until this album hits the airwaves.  But, only time will tell if we can get passed our hypocrisies and give her a chance.

Beyonce Rules the World

Beyonce Rules The World

Yeah, the album has been out for about a month now and I love it.  Just getting around to giving you a review on it.  Not what you expected, but definitely worth the listen.

Well if you haven't bought the newest Beyonce album titled 4 yet, go get yourself a copy.  Don't let the negative press and hater gossip persuade you not to give this album a chance.  Bey has done something that no artist has done in recent years.  She did not make a formulaic album.  What I mean is, she didn't make songs that we will hear on the radio a thousand times and then forget about next year.  This album, although more mid-tempo than previous releases is one of those beginning to the end albums.  Yeah, you can pick out your favorites, but I like to listen to it as a whole.  If I have any favorites I would say they would be 1+1, Countdown, Party, End of Time and I Care.  Many will say that it is missing some of the heavy R&B tracks like 'Upgrade-U and DIVA' or the POP ballads like 'Irreplaceable and If I Were A Boy'. read more
