Yas!! She came to slay bitches. She knows that she's "that bitch that cause all that conversation". And the conversation is fierce. Beyonce is back with a new single and a new movement. Whether you like her or nah, she is the Queen of her Beyhive. Dropped one day before the Super Bowl, Beyonce's "Formation" song and video has captivated many - confused some and offended the haters. The same haters she comes for with lyrics like: "You Haters Corny With That Illuminati Mess" "I Like My Baby's Hair, Baby Hair and Afro" and she even likes her Negro's (Jay -Z) Jackson Five's like nose. It's and upbeat dance-able tune that gets you moving and revealing much more about Beyonce than we have ever seen before. The video has come under attack for the imagery she uses (shot in New Orleans) to give her opinion on the state of Black America in 2016. Even former NYC Mayor Guliani went on Fox to blast Beyonce on having that opinion. #BoyBye It's her "Run The World (Girls) for 2016 and I love it. Bow Down to Mrs. Carter
Queen Bey wants you to
Bow Down
There is so much hype over this song. A song that I don't even think is a true single. Actually,I think it's funny. Why can't Beyonce use the bravado that her male counter parts use in their music. I actually think it is giving her just what she wants... EXPOSURE. And contrary to what everyone thinks. It's working. I guess I am a little biased because I love Beyonce and her music. Her last album "4" wasn't as commercially successful as the "Dangerously in Love", "B Day" or "I Am Sasha Fierce". But, in my biased opinion it was brilliant. I love it when Beyonce shows her boastful side. It's not like she hasn't done it before. How can anyone forget "Diva". Pretty much the same message wrapped in a funky r&b groove sans the word bitch.
It kills me how some females (Keyshia Cole) is taking this so literal. The word bitch used in today's world no longer refers to women, specifically. It refers to people who are lacking and whine about it. Do you remember one of the most popular phrases from The Dave Chappelle Show. "I'm Rich Bitch!!", exclaimed the truck driver who just came into a lot of money. Everyone thought that was funny, including females. Was he speaking to ladies all over the globe by calling them bitches? Absolutely not. It just shows how we can be so petty and judgmental of others when their words or thinking do not line up with how we think they should act or talk. Give it a rest. Beyonce is fine. I can't wait until this album hits the airwaves. But, only time will tell if we can get passed our hypocrisies and give her a chance.
